Each year CIADA has the opportunity to award a scholarship to a student in each state we represent, North and South Carolina. Applicants must be a child, grandchild, or spouse of a CIADA Dealer member in good standing. Applicants must be full-time students enrolling in college, university, business, or trade school. They should submit a CIADA application form, along with their appropriate transcript (high school or college), Scholastic Aptitude Test scores or equivalent test scores, information on special interests and activities, and three letters of recommendation.

A selection committee (independent of CIADA and the automotive industry) will advise CIADA of the selection process. The winners will be notified before the CIADA convention held each year in August. Scholarship money will be deposited with each winner’s chosen school and may be used for tuition, books, supplies, and fees. If a student drops out of school, any unused funds will revert to the CIADA Scholarship Fund

Usually, two scholarships of equal value shall be offered each year. One will be for the State of North Carolina and the other for South Carolina. If a particular state does not have an applicant for the current year’s award, the winner/s will be awarded from those qualifying applications received.
