The Carolinas Independent Automobile Dealers Association has been educating Independent Dealers since July 2002. Our highly trained and experienced instructors have educated thousands of new and experienced dealers! Our Pre-Licensing class won a national award for excellence and is recognized as "the Cadillac of dealer education programs”.
The State of South Carolina requires all persons who wish to become an Independent Automobile Dealer (Used car Dealer) to take a state-mandated 8-hour class. We offer that class every month to everyone who wishes to become a dealer.
That’s just the beginning! When you take the CIADA Pre-Licensing class, we GIVE you a year’s membership in the Carolinas Independent Automobile Dealers Association – CIADA – THE trade association for North and South Carolina Independent Dealers. As a member, you will receive monthly newsletters full of information important to your business, as well as magazines and other publications. As soon as you get your license and notify us that you are a dealer, we will activate your membership and within 2 weeks you will receive your 4 coupon books via the CIADA Coupon App that may be used to save you $$$$ in buy or sell fees at various auctions! You will have access to our business partners – vendors providing products and services, many with special programs for members. You also receive the NIADA benefits with your 1 year membership.
We will provide you with resources for required forms, software, insurance and bonds, and virtually everything else you need to successfully run your dealership.
In class you will learn how to set up your business and get your license; how to buy, display, and sell vehicles including all the required paperwork; and how to keep those cars sold by staying in compliance with state and federal laws regulating this industry. We discuss privacy issues, damage disclosure, warranties and service contracts, financing, repossession, bonds and insurance and much, much more.
We want you to be successful in your business. For one year after you complete the class, we provide you with free consulting services! You can call or e-mail us with any questions you have, problems you are experiencing, issues you need to resolve and if we don’t know the answer we will research it and get an answer for you. Call us when you are completing your first deal and we will talk you through the paperwork. Call us when you are not sure how to answer a customer’s questions and we’ll help you out. Call us when a customer has a complaint and we can help you figure out what you need to do.
